Faiz Cultural Foundation launches financial appeal<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Faiz Cultural Foundation UK is at the heart of promoting progressive ideas and at the forefront of the fight to counter the politics of hate and fanaticism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This journey begin in 2011 when on the initiative of Progressive Writers Association Pakistan (Anjuman Traqai Pasand Musanifeen Pakistan) a small group of progressives based in UK organised one of the biggest Faiz centennial events outside the Pakistan and invited some of the most profound speakers and artists to enthral the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Faiz Cultural Foundation, UK was formed in March 2018 with the aims to restore the continuity to our history and making it whole extending into the future, projecting it, in particular, through the idiom of those who used their art to protest, resist and inspire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As a part of our mission, we have been organising Faiz Am\u2019n Mela annually in London and aim to continue organising events of progressive discourse to celebrate the voices that have dominated our social scene as our collective conscience and have now been appropriated as guides in our endeavour towards a renaissance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Annual ‘Faiz Am\u2019n Mela\u2019 has become the main highlight of our activities and this has been a great success in terms of participation by Indian and Pakistani diaspora and other communities coming together to promote Peace, tolerance, friendship and bonding our community around progressive ideas. Events of such scale demands a great deal of resources. Since the ticketing income only covers around 40% of the event cost we rely on friends like you to chip in to meet the expenses. So we appeal for support from all who are serious about promoting peace, equality, pluralism and counter narrative to politics of hate and fanaticism. Till date we have been able to sustain our activities mainly because of personal donations from our friends and the small sponsorships. We feel that your contribution will go along way on making progressive ideas reach the masses.
We firmly believe that our politics which of the people never gathers financial support from any big names, hence we count on your for financial assistance, never compromising on our principles.
